3. Quotations
3.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
3.2 Quotations are based on agreed measurements, specifications and installation requirements.
3.3 Quotations represent an invitation to purchase and do not form a contract until accepted and the deposit is paid.
3.4 Customers must check all quotation details carefully before acceptance.
4. Surveys and Measurements
4.1 Where Kingsford Shutters conducts the survey, measurements will be taken professionally and used for manufacture.
4.2 If the customer provides measurements, Kingsford Shutters accepts no responsibility for errors or incorrect fit.
4.3 Changes to windows, reveals or surrounding areas after order placement may affect fit and remain the customer’s responsibility.
5. Orders and Manufacture
5.1 An order is confirmed when the customer accepts the quotation and pays the deposit.
5.2 All shutters are bespoke and manufactured specifically for the customer’s property.
5.3 Once manufacturing has begun, orders cannot be changed, cancelled or refunded.
6. Price and Payment
6.1 The total price is stated on the quotation and invoice.
6.2 A 50% deposit is required when the order is placed. Manufacturing will not begin until cleared funds are received.
6.3 The remaining 50% balance is due immediately upon completion of installation.
6.4 Payment must be made in full before installers leave the property.
6.5 Kingsford Shutters retains ownership of all goods until full payment is received.
6.6 Late payments may incur interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate and reasonable recovery costs.
7. Delivery and Installation
7.1 Lead times are estimates and not guaranteed.
7.2 Installation dates may change due to manufacturing or supply delays outside our control.
7.3 Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to installation areas.
7.4 Additional charges may apply where installation cannot proceed due to customer postponement or lack of access.
7.5 Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon installation and completion.
8. Product Information
8.1 Shutters are manufactured using natural materials and minor variations in colour, grain or finish may occur.
8.2 Images, samples and visualisations are for guidance only and may not exactly match final products.
8.3 Such variations do not constitute defects.
9. Warranty
9.1 All shutters supplied and installed by Kingsford Shutters are covered by a 10-year manufacturer-backed warranty from the date of installation.
9.2 The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
9.3 The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear

9.4 Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, we will repair or replace the affected component at our discretion.

10.2 Any concerns must be raised at the time of installation or within a reasonable period thereafter.
10.3 Completion of installation and payment confirms acceptance of the goods.

12. Our Right to Cancel
We may cancel the contract if the customer:
Fails to make required payments

In such cases, reasonable costs incurred may be retained or charged.

14.2 We are not responsible for pre-existing structural issues, hidden defects, or damage unrelated to installation.
15. Events Outside Our Control
